DIVERSIFIED PROGRESSION PATHWAYS

After obtaining a qualification at IACCA, you have the choice to be selected onto the next level of qualification and continue your studies with us following the vocational route. Alternatively, with the many credentials that IACCA offers, you may decide to gain employment in Liverpool or the United Kingdom or even Europe or USA, we have many links with employers in Liverpool, the North West of England and the rest of the country.

The third option is to continue your study with an IACCA chosen university partner at the appropriate level.

STATE OF THE ART TRAINING FACILITIES

Lu Ban restaurant is a fully operational restaurant designed to provide a full hospitality package, including conferences, meetings, and events. Each room has also been designed for learning and education. If you are not on visits to restaurant, hotels, bars, suppliers or city’s you will be studying and learning at Lu Ban or a partner venue.

Working in collaboration with the Master Chefs from the Tianjin School of Cuisine, UK chefs from hotels, restaurants and food manufacturing have developed the innovating IACCA international programmes. Our academic team includes chefs from the further and higher education sectors, and those who advise on education content at UK Government level. The key members have won numerous awards for educational and Culinary Arts excellence. AN EXCEPTIONAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE

IACCA Culinary Arts programmes are unique in the UK, allowing you to explore different aspects of Contemporary and Classical Chinese and International Culinary Arts. With a key enthusiast on developing high level skills within Chinese and European Cooking.

Supported by our expert academic and technical staff, you will learn traditional and contemporary techniques with access to our industry-standard facilities.

The course has excellent links with industry, and students will get the chance to take part in live projects and competitions, gain work experience, and have the opportunity to visit farms, food manufacturing establishments, high quality restaurants and Hotels, and Food related events across the UK such as the Good Food show.

Your work experience will include opportunities to visit some of Liverpool international branded venues, including Hilton Hotels, IHG, Accor, Pullman and within Liverpool Football club and Everton football club.

Prior to work experience you will be expected to complete UK regulated qualifications in food safety.

RESOURCES AND SUPPORT

Resource and support are designed around the individual student and individual needs.

You will be supported by one of our team house mentors, who will regularly liaise with you helping you quickly adapt to living in the city and keeping you on track with the programme of study. They are focused on supporting you to build your confidence and awareness of what this incredible opportunity can give you during your stay with us and beyond as you take the skills and knowledge into your career.

You will have 24 hours access to IACCA online learning platform that will provide you with learning materials, videos, research documents throughout your learning program.

You will have access to the IACCA teaching rooms and selected resources from the partners university as well as access to employers and the opportunities to see behind the scenes of many venues, including Liverpool football club, the Beatles museum and international hotel brands within Liverpool.

Located on the north side of the River Mersey, Liverpool is ‘the coolest place to live in the UK’ (the London Times newspaper) when you join IACCA, we can guarantee that you will be surrounded by diversity in Liverpool.

The city is home to Europe’s oldest Chinatown and Liverpool Football Club.

Liverpool is purple flag accredited, this  means Liverpool is a safe place to enjoy socialising at night, you will be surrounded by Liverpool’s galleries and museums, including Tate Liverpool and the Museum of Liverpool Life, this is more than any other city outside London and boasts outstanding architecture around virtually every corner.

Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, like the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, at IACCA we use the city to help you learn.
